Practice Unilever Interview Questions
Unilever runs one of the most digital graduate processes of any employer — home to brands like Dove, Ben & Jerry's, and Hellmann's. For the UFLP and most early-career roles, you'll face neuroscience-based games and a recorded digital interview long before you meet anyone in person.

The Unilever interview process — stage by stage
A set of neuroscience-based games (around 12) measuring traits like risk tolerance, attention, and effort — not right/wrong answers. They benchmark you against Unilever's success profiles.
A recorded, one-way video interview: you respond to questions and business scenarios on camera against a timer, with no live interviewer. Answers are assessed for Unilever's standards of leadership.
The final stage — a full assessment experience (virtual or in-person): a business case, a coaching conversation, and real tasks that simulate the role. Immersive and the biggest single filter.
Common Unilever interview questions
The behavioral and competency questions Unilever actually asks. ScreenReady generates realistic variations of these for each mock session.
- "Why Unilever, and which of our brands or business areas excites you most?"
- "Tell me about a time you led change or improved how something was done."
- "Describe a situation where you used data or insight to make a decision."
- "How would you grow one of our brands with a limited budget?"
- "Tell me about a time you worked with people who disagreed with you."
- "What does purpose-led business mean to you, and where have you shown it?"
- "Describe a time you took a risk that did not pay off — what did you do next?"
How to prepare for the Unilever interview
For Pymetrics, don't try to "beat" them. Play calmly and consistently, follow instructions exactly, and be well-rested — the goal is an accurate read of how you naturally operate.
Personal mastery, agility, business acumen, talent catalyst, purpose & service, consumer love. Map your Digital Interview stories to these explicitly.
Unilever wants people who love brands and understand growth. Have a point of view on one of their products — positioning, audience, a campaign you admired.
The Digital Interview includes business scenarios, not just "tell me about yourself". Practise structuring a quick answer to a business prompt on camera to a timer.
What a strong Unilever answer looks like
A worked STAR answer to a real Unilever-style question, showing how to structure situation, task, action, and result.
How would you grow one of our brands with a limited budget?
In a marketing society competition, my team was given a mature personal-care brand losing share to cheaper rivals and a small, fixed budget.
We had to propose a growth plan that did not rely on outspending competitors.
Rather than broad advertising, I argued for a focused strategy: identify the most loyal, highest-value segment from the usage data, and concentrate the budget on a targeted digital campaign plus a sampling partnership with a complementary brand. I modelled the expected return and kept a small test-and-learn reserve.
Our plan won the competition; the judges (including a Unilever brand manager) singled out the segmentation and the disciplined budget. It taught me that focus beats spread when resources are tight.
